About ten meters from the shore, like real tightrope walkers, these fishermen on stilts are waiting for the fish to come to them. They have learned to cope with the powerful waves of the Indian Ocean that do not allow them to fish by the sea. At dawn, or at the end of the day, each one joins his own stilt, wrapping his stuff around his head, and gets into his place, as if suspended above the swell. This traditional fishing is typical of Weligama Bay in Sri Lanka.
